Empowering the Community through Creativity

What's with the Elephant logo?

Currently, in 2023 this is the logo I created for my cave. The reason is that when elephants are young some people tie them up by the leg so they can't run away. However, Once they are adults and they feel the smallest tug of the rope they don't realise that they are strong enough to break it and be free.  When I look at my city 'Belfast' I see so much of this in my society. The mental struggle of the mind. An inner hopelessness that has been learned. My logo represents breaking free. The elephant in my logo is walking free and not tied up and this is my hope for the community I aspire to work for. I want to help build a relational community where people feel safe, grow, face their challenges become resilient, learn skills and enjoy the hard hikes. let your elephant be free.

WHO IS CHLOE ?

Creative Hobbies...
I am a songwriter and poet, a painter, and a potter, I play a little guitar, I dance salsa, and I've been learning Arabic. I love writing Arabic as the script is like art and the language itself is poetic. I love everything outdoors and am fond of the gym.

My Story and passion

My name is Chloe and I'm a 23-year-old from Belfast. My passion for helping people and the community stems from my upbringing. I grew up in the care system and was fostered at 3, adopted at 5 and went back into the care system at 15 as the family I was with fell apart. I lived out a lot of addiction and abuse throughout the years. 3 years ago I had an encounter with Jesus. I heard the gospel on a YouTube video while sitting on my bed early hours of the morning. The message the man in the video spoke was that God came down to this sinful earth from his heavenly throne in the form of man (who did not sin his entire human life) to pay the penalty on the cross for my sin with his holy blood. He rose from the grave 3 days later and conquered death. Due to his holiness, his perfect blood paid the debt of sin for all the wrong things I've ever done in my life because he loved me and wanted a relationship with me. (For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23). He has done this for us knowing that we could never earn our way to him because our good deeds are like black rags to him (Isaiah 64:6) but yet he still loved us and I understood that he wanted me.  I  never knew what love felt like until that moment. It was overwhelming. The man on the YouTube video stated 'If God left heaven to suffer in this way for you and all the bad things you've done, What do you think he is going to do to you when he returns for judgement and you've rejected him and his love?'. Instantly the fear of God came upon me and my eyes were opened to my life and all the things I had done. I felt the love of God at the same time and I knew I was cared for. It was kind of like the fear you get when you steal something from your guardian as a kid and they catch you. It's the fear that prevents you from doing it again. I knew that God was there and I knew if I rejected him in that moment I would regret it. I prayed to God saying "God I've nothing else to live for I want to live for you". 3 years ago I had this encounter with Jesus and since then my life transformed. I'm sober now for 3 years, off everything not by my strength but by God's. I haven't had sleep paralysis and I was able to eat and put on weight. I Threw out all my tarots and changed my environment and the people I surrounded myself with. I discovered community through volunteering with Storehouse, a community-focused charity in the centre of Belfast for the homeless. I've seen the benefits of community work and I fell in love with it. This is also where I first saw the benefits of creativity in the community and how it helps heal, build relationships, friendships, and trust. I learned how a good community can help aid a sense of self, dignity, self-worth and significance....  I want to care for and love others the way Christ loved me. I'm not here to force anything on anybody. Christ showed his love for others through his actions and I want to try to live life the same way. I'm not perfect I still make mistakes so I need to trust in him and his perfection. I hope all the best for you and if you have made it this far thank you so much for reading my story. All the best mucker.

App coming soon... Start your creative journey

With our social media /forum app for creatives currently in the process of being built, the creative community will be able to connect, share events, network, collaborate and build a sense of belonging within the creative community of Northern Ireland. Many artists from different backgrounds find themselves alone and with a lack of community because they need to focus on their work. I want to see the creative community supporting each other and growing together positively. The community app will help promote your creative business in the community as a whole as you will be immersed around like-minded individuals with common interests.

This feature isn't like Facebook or Instagram as these platforms tailor to everybody in the world. My app is targeted at Artists, lovers of art, and organizations and charities that will offer collaborations to specific artists if the skills they possess fit their needs. For example, if a charity needs a Dancer or someone to show a youth group how to use DJ decks for a day or an event. This collaboration tool will benefit both the charity and the local artist. Art isn't just about painting and drawing so this app encourages all forms of creativity. In our forum section of the app, we have many topics ranging from poetry to tattoos to music production drama, sculpture, painting and much much more. This is so you can look up specific artists for possible collaborations and tune deeper into a genre within the community. Topics can be added by admin if requested.

On our forum we also have an events and meet-up section where you can post any creative-based event to advertise or even just post a general meet-up enquiry. For example: "A group is meeting at the dock cafe @12. Feel free to join us", or "Let's go for a hike this Saturday".  To me this community isn't just about the art it's about building meaningful and lasting relationships through common interests. This app is also free!!!! Not sure I've mentioned bad pointers yet.

During the pre-launch of the app, Chloe's Creative Cave is going to be looking for creative artists who already have Spotify/Soundcloud uploads and YouTube videos available and who want their work advertised and posted on the app before the app gets launched officially to the public. There are two pages for audio-based creatives. A YouTube upload page and a file/recording upload page. we wish to have 20 uploads on each page before launching.

Some examples of what the videos can range from are Music videos, dancing videos,  videos introducing the artist(for example a tattooist)and their work and their passion, and Videos that support awareness for community-focused charities in Northern Ireland.

The voice recording uploads can range from singers, rappers, and poets, maybe you have a podcast account you want advertised? Have you thought of something you could upload that I haven't mentioned? get in touch below.

If this is something you can contribute to please, GET IN TOUCH. If you as a creative artist have an official video or recording on the app of your creative work or business it could benefit everybody involved. Everybody who signs up will have instant access to viewing your work. After the 20 uploads are on each page any further uploads will cost a small £5 fee for uploading an advertisement video. This is to ensure that in the future we can update the app with stronger features that will further benefit the users.
