Community app coming soon!

September 2023

Chloe's Creative Cave now has an online store where she sells her art on different print-on-demand products. Chloe hopes that her art captivates people and earns enough profit so she can provide a free workshop routinely for a group of people in need of support and care such as (Homeless /Asylum seekers /Youth /Those on the waiting list for a mental health befriender/ Those with disabilities....).

Chloe wants to create a safe, unjudgmental, creative environment for people to explore and overcome their battles in a healthy space together. Community is the heart of what Chloe wishes to achieve and it starts with others and the people around us in our daily life.

Unfortunately in Belfast, for many, support from our families or friends may not be as common as we would hope but that doesn't mean that there isn't hope and that there aren't people willing to Love and Care for others. Many have given up on this but Chloe wants a beam of light to shine for the isolated, the lost, the insecure, the ones who feel hidden or forgotten. You are more than just a number in society and no matter what background you are from you have so much potential! We all need encouragement to grow, adapt and change.

For Chloe, her being involved in communities helped her with confidence, problem-solving, creativity, social skills, personal development, self-awareness and awareness for others, resilience, communication, compassion, and empathy for others and their situations... As a youth worker, Chloe is aware of the benefits of community and the sense of belonging it brings. She is excited to bring creativity to the table and use it as a tool to support the development of not only herself but in others around her. This is the vision she prays God will bless.

A Little Lost Soul Lyrics by Chloe @C3Cave

A little lost soul

Found up the hillside

Followed the Cat eyes

To her east side

It was a rocky road she took

Halfway through came the sand dunes

To soften up the trail crooks

They left palm leaves

Planted seed

Water walked and sowed

Gave her time to grow

These sand dunes come and go

Don't underestimate the power of showing love

Don't underestimate the Samaritan sent from above

 C3 Cave Blog - Activities

Blog - Activities
I can't take the youth worker out of me so below are four creative, personal and social development activities available for you to tailor and use in your own practise or lives.

2 Icebreakers and 2 Activities

Icebreakers

1- Print off and cut out random emojis and ask the group to select one each that represents how they feel today or how their week has been. This gives you a rough idea about their moods within the group and who may need extra attention or support if one of them has had a hard week.

2 - Ask the group to go into a circle. One by one each person in the group will go around in the circle. They will state their name and say what food they would be if they could be a food and why. This icebreaker is a creative way to analyse the group's energy levels and individual moods before a session or workshop.

Activities

1- Tea bag and cup game. split the group into teams if the group is big enough if not then every man for himself. This activity is a problem-solving activity. Set a cup 13 feet away from each individual who has a teabag. They will attempt to throw the tea bag into the cup. They won't be able to get the teabag into the cup as the teabag will be too light  The solution is to add weight (water) to the teabag. Allow them to think creatively and if they come up with another solution then allow them to attempt their ideas. This activity teaches them how to reflect with lateral thinking and creative skills.

2-  Word art encouragements. Time to encourage each other. Write out cards with everyone's name on them. This activity works best when people know each other. Each participant then writes a positive thing about the person whose name is on the card and then moves to another card and everyone must write something on every card.  Make sure everyone is writing in the same colour of pen to keep it anonymous. Don't let people see or write in their cards. Collect the cards when everyone has written in every card that is not their own. check everything is appropriate and positive in the cards. you can hand the cards back out or do something so cool, creative and special with them. Go to Google> word art > Type the name > then type all the positive things from the cards into the programme until you result in an encouraging piece that will make those in your community smile. It should look similar to the picture below but you can customise it differently. Print, laminate and hand out and watch your group smile.

Looking for Artists!!!

With our social media /forum app for creatives currently in the process of being built, the creative community will be able to connect, share events, network, collaborate and build a sense of belonging within the creative community of Northern Ireland. Many artists from different backgrounds find themselves alone and with a lack of community because they need to focus on their work. I want to see the creative community supporting each other and growing together positively. The community app will help promote your creative business in the community as a whole as you will be immersed around like-minded individuals with common interests. This feature isn't like Facebook or Instagram as these platforms tailor to everybody in the world. My app is targeted at Artists, lovers of art, and organizations and charities that will offer collaborations to specific artists if the skills they possess fit their needs. For example, if a charity needs a Dancer or someone to show a youth group how to use DJ decks for a day or an event. This collaboration tool will benefit both the charity and the local artist. Art isn't just about painting and drawing so this app encourages all forms of creativity. In our forum section of the app, we have many topics ranging from poetry to tattoos to music production drama, sculpture, painting and much much more. This is so you can look up specific artists for possible collaborations and tune deeper into a genre within the community. Topics can be added by admin if requested.

On our forum we also have an events and meet-up section where you can post any creative-based event to advertise or even just post a general meet-up enquiry. For example: "A group is meeting at the dock cafe @12. Feel free to join us", or "Let's go for a hike this Saturday".  To me this community isn't just about the art it's about building meaningful and lasting relationships through common interests. This app is also free!!!! Not sure I've mentioned bad pointers yet.

During the pre-launch of the app, Chloe's Creative Cave is going to be looking for creative artists who already have Spotify/Soundcloud uploads and YouTube videos available and who want their work advertised and posted on the app before the app gets launched officially to the public. There are two pages for audio-based creatives. A YouTube upload page and a file/recording upload page. we wish to have 20 uploads on each page before launching.

Some examples of what the videos can range from are Music videos, dancing videos,  videos introducing the artist(for example a tattooist)and their work and their passion, and Videos that support awareness for community-focused charities in Northern Ireland.

The voice recording uploads can range from singers, rappers, and poets, maybe you have a podcast account you want advertised? Have you thought of something you could upload that I haven't mentioned? get in touch below.

If this is something you can contribute to please, GET IN TOUCH. If you as a creative artist have an official video or recording on the app of your creative work or business it could benefit everybody involved. Everybody who signs up will have instant access to viewing your work. After the 20 uploads are on each page any further uploads will cost a small £5 fee for uploading an advertisement video. This is to ensure that in the future we can update the app with stronger features that will further benefit the users.
