Have you ever watched Night at the Museum, where the statue comes to life and speaks “dum-dum, gum-gum”… Yehhh, so he was my inspiration for this hand-built, rustic glaze-styled mug made with college buff clay. I really appreciated making ‘mug face’. The Glaze has a rustic essence allowing some parts of the natural clay to peek through. I thought this aesthetic would match the talking statue’s vibe a lot more. He is a unique piece of mine that makes me laugh when I see him on my pottery art shelf while he waits for someone to love him just as much as me. He reminds me to tune into the childish and less serious side to life what does he remind you of?
