This was one of my first ever successful pieces that I ever threw on the wheel. I used to love making tealight holders. I made many to gift to close friends but I was never willing to part with this. I experimented with green and white glaze for the first time and if you are a potter you know that the kiln is so unpredictable and sometimes you will end up with a piece no where near what you were trying to create. Not this guy he came out of the kiln exactly how I had in-visioned. As I was still a beginner in ceramics it was rare that something arrived back to me exactly how I had desired. The happiness I experienced was so memorable that this little handmade trinket became my little precious and I clung to it keeping it on my creative pottery self for years and now i’m ready to share it to another.
